Botevgrad is a town in western Bulgaria, located approximately 40 km from the capital Sofia. Botevgrad is one of the oldest towns in Bulgaria. It was founded around the fifth century by the Thracians, and later it was a Roman settlement. The modern name is derived from the name of one of the most famous Bulgarian poets - Christo Botev. Today, because of the convenient location (important traffic routes) it is developing dynamically.
